Home Stay Students - Experience
North Carolina! Two experienced families welcome all Japanese
home stay students to come to beautiful Asheville, North
Carolina. This delightfuland charming little city is located
in the spectacular mountains of Western North Carolina.
Asheville is small (less than 70,000) but packed full
of so many new cultural experiences for students. This
city is famous for its diverse makeup of people, dozens
of fabulous art shops, quaint sidewalk restaurants, and
unique crafts made by local craftsmen only in the mountains
of North Carolina. Students can hike along miles of gorgeous
mountain trails, see magnificent waterfalls, and an abundance
of mountain nature. All summer long Asheville and the
mountains are jam-packed with fun and exciting festivals
of all kinds, where students can experience wonderful
foods, all kinds of music and dancing, fireworks, and
so much more. Students will be able to tour the Biltmore
Estate, America’s largest private home, with more than
50 bathrooms, watch an exciting minor league baseball
game, and visit a thrilling mountain theme park in neighboring
Tennessee. These two families have excellent experience
hosting Japanese students, and both families promise each
student that their summer break in Asheville, North Carolina
will be their very best American cultural experience ever!
